Saturday!
Another Halloween party, this time as a fireman!
Lots of parents dressing up too (any excuse). Enough pirates to crew a galleon, the usual princesses, Spider Men, various Disney characters (of course) and the entire cast of Star Wars. Munchkin had a great time!
Off to the Echo Park film centre (run by a super chap Paulo and his girlfriend) for the screening of my short, 'Check In' and the first feature I was in, 2 months after coming to LA, 'Unconsciously Conscious'. The short was very well received with a huge cheer which was amazing to hear and UC was equally appreciated by the small but appreciative audience which included people I hadn't seen in probably two years including the lovely (now married) Luce and the equally lovely (now girlfriended up - she's gorgeous too) Billy St J! I was a little trepidatious not having seen UC but G had done an incredible job, weaving an intricate story line with stunning visuals, sound, score and editing! Hopefully it'll become a cult classic. Who knows! We headed out to a local pizzeria and had a super nosh up. I met one of G's old friends, J and we got on like a house on fire!
G seemed pleased, probably because he had finally screened the film as I knew he had been very anxious up to then. No worries G, great job!
Oh, by the way, if you want to, you can pop along to the Echo Park Film Centre and rent Check In and UC as they're both in the permanent library there!
